Dear Parents,
The 2009 Eagle football season is here and we are very excited about the start of the season. Our first game will take place on Tuesday, September 8, at Cedar Creek Middle School against Farley Middle School. Both 7th and 8th grades will be at home for the first football game. It should be an exciting night of football as we see our future athletes of Cedar Creek High School.
After School Practice
Parents, both 7th and 8th grade athletes will practice after school this year until 5:30. Please pick up your son by 5:45 pm in the back of the gym. No student athletes will be permitted at the front of the building for any reason.
(Practice times could change to meet the after school bus schedule)
We are currently working on the activity bus schedule. The activity bus does not take student athletes home after games, only after practices. We are trying to get this started by Tuesday, September 8.
In order to meet the number of days required by the UIL to play the first football game
on September 8, we will have practice on Monday September 7, at 9:00 AM. This is
Labor Day, a school holiday, so please try to arrange for your child to attend
practice.
Water Breaks
As parents, you are concerned about the heat. We are going to tell our student
athletes, if they are thirsty to get some water on their own. Also, if they would like to
bring water or a sports drink they may do so. If for any reason an
athlete gets sick in practice or feels bad he will watch the remainder of the practice.
The health of our student athletes is very important to us.
Transportation to Games
All student athletes are required to ride the bus to and from games. No student-athletes are permitted to ride home with their parents after a game. All student-athletes must ride the bus back to the school. If you have an emergency please contact Coach Tucker.

After you have contacted the coach and you are not satisfied with the situation, you may call me to discuss the situation. If you are not satisfied with my decision, you may call Mr. Jim Hallamek the Campus Principal or Gerald Perry, Athletic Director at BISD to discuss your situation.
- Assistant Coaches
- Coach Raymond Tucker, Athletic Coordinator
- Jim Hallamek, Campus Principal
- Coach Gerald Perry, Athletic Director BISD
Parents, if you call and leave a message please give me the opportunity to call you back. I might not have the time to return your call right away, but I will contact you as soon as I can. Also, please do not come to school and request to see me, you will need to schedule an appointment with the campus secretary and I will be more than happy to meet with you at the scheduled time.
Athlete Expectations
At Cedar Creek Middle School, we have high expectations for our student-athletes such as:
- We expect our student athletes to have a clean and neat haircut, above the ear, and off the collar.
- All student-athletes will conduct themselves as model students in and outside the classroom.
- All student-athletes are expected to be at every practice. If a student athlete does not attend practice, he must bring a note from home. If he does not bring a note, he will not be permitted to play in that week’s game.
- Student-athletes given or placed in ISS the week of the game, will forfeit their opportunity to play in the game or tournament that week.
- If a student-athlete continues to be a behavior problem, he will be placed on a behavior contract to monitor his behavior. If he continues to cause problems, he could be suspended for the rest of the football season or until he demonstrates that he can conduct himself as a model student-athlete.
- Student athlete’s grades will be checked each week.
- Student athletes are expected to come to school on game days with shirt, slacks, tie and dress shoes as if they are going to church.
Spectator/Parents Expectations
At Cedar Creek Middle School, we also have expectations for parents who are watching the games.
- Parents, we will not tolerate any vulgar language, name-calling, or derogatory comments to other spectators, coaches, or officials. If you violate this, you will be removed from the game.
- Parents, we are not professional coaches and we are doing the best job that we can with what we have. We ask you to remain positive during the season with your son. Going home talking about the coaching staff is not going to make things any easier for all concerned.
- Parents, we will not tolerate anyone coming to the game with the smell of alcohol on their breath. If you do, you will be asked to leave the game.
- We ask that after each game, you exit into the parking lot to socialize so we can get the field cleaned up in a timely manner.
- Parents, your child’s playing time or another player on the team will not be discussed.
- No parents are permitted in the athletic locker rooms for any reason, if you need anything please contact a coach.
