Coach Larry Turner
Participated in Bastrop Football from 1941-1944. Four year letterman and graduated with honors. Bob then played 4 year at Texas A&M where he lead the SWC in scoring and was all-conference. He was then selected 8th overall pick in the NFL draft by the Washington Redskins. In the NFL, Bob was selected to the Pro Bowl on two occasions. Bob held the single season rushing record until 1970. Bob served in the Marine Corps and was the former owner of Dyna Mud Corporation. Bob's wife Sylvia and his son Robert and daughter Susie accepted his award on his behalf.

Matthew Homesley
Matthew attended Bastrop High School from 1987-1990. He was 1st team All-Centex and 1st Team All-District in 1988 & 1989. He was also awarded All-State honors in 1989 for his aggressive play at linebacker. Matthew received a scholarship to Blinn where he played for two years. Matthew is still visible in the community, coaching our youth through the Bastrop Little League and BYFO.
Robert L. "Bob" Goode
Cliff Wilkins
Participated in Bastrop Athletics from 1964-1968. As an athlete Cliff lettered in track, football and basketball in all four of his high school years and baseball three of the four. His track accomplishments include winning state in the 440 yard dash. As a captain of the football team, he was a two-time All-District player that lead Bastrop to the State Semi-Finals in 1966. On the hardwood, he accomplishments were equally impressive, as he was named to the All-Central Texas team and named All-District twice. Cliff's coaching career was nothing less than extraordinary. He served 27 years as a Head Basketball coach winning 438 games. He is one of four coaches to take three different schools to the state tournament, each time for the first time in each school's history; repeating with back-to-back trips while at New Braunfels. He lead his teams to 7 District Championships, 2 Area Championships, and 4 Regional Championships. As Bastrop's Head coach he lead our Bears to District Championships in 1973, 1974, and 1976, Regional Champs and State Semi-Finalist in 1974. He was named Coach of Year in District (1974), and Cen-Tex Coach of the Year (1975). Other accomplishments include:TABC Regional Director form 1980-81, THSCA Region VIII Nominee for All-Star Basketball Coach in 1986, THSCA UIL Basketball Advisory Committee Chairman from 1989-1990, TABC All-State Selection Chairman for South All-Stars from 1993-1994, TABC Nominee for All-Star Basketball Coach in 1999
