Your Bastrop Bears will be playing Seguin High School this week. The freshmen will play on Friday at Memorial Stadium at 6:00. The JV White team will be playing at Seguin High School beginning at 5:30 followed by the JV Maroon at 7:00. The Varsity will play at 7:00 on Thursday at Memorial Stadium. This is a live televised game so let’s bring a big and loud crowd. The live broadcast is on KBVO, digital channel 1525 on Time Warner. The game can also be heard on the Bear Network located on bastropbears.org.
Varsity Players will need to order their meal and pay $6 by the end of the day on Wednesday. Freshmen and JV players may bring a snack for after school prior to leaving.
Varsity will not practice on Wednesday after school. Freshmen and JV will practice but have Thursday off. There will not be a workout on Saturday. Instead, varsity will receive treatment during the period on Friday and film review after school.
Season reserved tickets are $7 apiece but $8 at the gate. General admission prices are $3 for students and $6 for adults if pre-purchased. All general admission, including student, tickets at the gate are $7. Be sure to pre-purchase tickets to get the discounted price. Get there early on Thursday.
If you haven’t joined the TD Booster Club, it is not too late. Players and trainers are not eligible for TD Booster club scholarships if a parent or guardian is not a member. Be sure to check out bastropbears.org.
The TD Booster Club will be selling concessions in the bleachers on Thursday. Please support our club by purchasing from them. They need volunteers to help. If any sub varsity parents would like to volunteer, please contact Hershel Becker at 512-517-1950. They will need help. They will also be selling merchandise outside the gates. Your name will be put on a list to get into the game and volunteer your time.
We will practice On the Monday of Labor Day, at 9:00 a.m. Make arrangements to have your son there. Practice is mandatory for all teams.
There will be no film review on Saturday for parents.
